Un apaño para poder usar una página como portada en móviles – Accident

Ya ha llovido mucho (casi un año) desde que comenté la posibilidad deusar una página estática para construir una portada para el blog. Eso nos abría un buen número de posibilidades para su diseño, ya que en una página es más cómodo ir añadiendo elementos HTML que teniéndolos que incluir en plantilla.

Además, el sistema de redirigir automáticamente la página de Inicio hacia esta portada simulada y la posibilidad de usar la dirección/index.html para que se mostrarán sólo las entradas (sin portada), ofrecía una solución muy elegante para el conjunto.

Pero como la felicidad nunca es completa, unos meses después Blogger cambió algo y el sistema se pifió para móviles. Para ordenadores y tabletas sin problemas, pero en móviles empezó a aparecer un mensaje que indicaba que la redirección nuestra y la automática de Blogger para estos dispositivos eran incompatibles, entrando en un bucle sin fin:

Problema de conectividad. La página contiene demasiadas redirecciones de servidor.

En losforos del producto y enThe real Blogger status ya se leía desde Noviembre que estaban viendo la forma de arreglarlo, razón por la que yo sólo aportaba pedir paciencia. Pero como estamos en las mismas muchos meses después, llegó el momento en que os proponga una chapucilla para que todo vuelva a funcionar correctamente.

Y digo chapucilla porque el sistema inicial me sigue pareciendo mejor. Si algún día arreglan el problema, mejor volvéis a él.

La idea me la dióDirecto del Olivar en un comentario y básicamente consistía en hacer una redirección directa condicionada con JavaScript y eliminar la que yo propuse que se hiciera desde la utilidad de Blogger. Pero el truco en ocasiones no funcionaba como debía.

Con el tiempo me di cuenta de que sólo lo hacía en dominios personalizados (no para.blogspot.com) debido a la dichosaredirección de dominios por países, así que combinando el código para salvar esto último y lo de la redirección JavaScript, parece que el problema queda solucionado.

En primer lugar vamos alEscritorio Configuración Preferencias para motores de búsqueda Errores y redireccionamientos Redireccionamiento personalizado Editar

Nos saldrá un cuadro como este. Ahí hay que pasar el puntero por dónde está el "De", "Para", etc. y así aparecerán los botones paraEditar oEliminar. Pinchamos en este último, guardamos cambios y con eso ya hemos eliminado la redirección que en su momento añadimos.

Lo segundo y último será añadir este código en la plantilla, justo debajo dehead:

En este código hay que cambiarDIRECCION_HABITUAL por la vuestra normal y enNUEVO_INICIO poned el nombre de la "falsa" portada.

La primera parte del código es la misma que vimosaquí y lo único que hace es tomar cualquier.com.es,.mx,.com.ar o todo lo que no sea.com a secas y convertirlo en.com.

La segunda condición es la que redirecciona el dominio principal, con o sin el parámetro para versión móvil (?m=1) a la dirección de la portada simulada.

Podéis probar con esteblog-demo-web que hice hace tiempo para lo de la página de inicio como portada. Si observáis que algo no funciona no dudéis en comentarlo, pues el sufijo NCR ha agotado mi paciencia porque tenía que estar limpiando datos de navegación cada dos por tres.

Personalizar los botones para compartir de Blogger – cancer

No hace mucho comenté lo de la incorporación delbotón Pinterest en el gadget de botones sociales de Blogger y en aquel momento recordé que tenía pendiente (entre otras muchas cosas), explicaros la manera en que se pueden personalizar esos botones para cambiar un poco su aspecto.

Los botones originales están construidos medianteCSS sprites y por eso técnicamente es fácil cambiarlos mediante la simple sustitución de esa imagen que sirve de base. No obstante, como Blogger aplica automáticamente su propio CSS, también será necesario ajustar un poco esas reglas.

Por otra parte está el botón +1 que se añade de manera distinta, por lo que veremos asimismo cómo cambiar su código para que estéticamente sea del mismo estilo que los otros.

Veamos paso a paso todo esto y al final el código para hacerlo de una sola vez.

Diseñar una imagen con los nuevos botones

Esta es la parte en la que la maña de cada cual marcará el resultado final. Se trata de construir una sola imagen que contenga de forma ordenada las imágenes individuales de todos los botones.

En un principio lo más cómodo sería tomar la imagen de la izquierda que es la que usa Blogger, cambiar su contenido respetando los límites para cada botón y por último, sustituir la original por la nuestra. Este es el caso sencillo, pero para ver más casos ya voy a empezar adestrozarcosas.

De entrada no las voy a hacer de 18px como las originales, sino de 24px. Tendrán fondo transparente y en lugar de tres imágenes por botón voy a usar sólo dos, una para el estado normal en tonos de gris y otra a color para cuando se pase el puntero por encima.

Lo básico es ser cuidadosos y que todas las imágenes estén ubicadasexactamente dentro de un cuadrado imaginario de 24x24px (en este ejemplo) y que cada uno esté bien acoplado con sus adyacentes sin dejar ni un píxel de más o de menos.

¿Que de momento no queréis calentaros la cabeza con esto? Pues nada, usad esta imagen de la izquierda que es la que yo voy a utilizar en el ejemplo.

Añadir estilo para sobreescribir el de Blogger

Para el estilo de sus botones, Blogger mete automáticamenteCSScuando carga cada página, razón por la que no es visible en la plantilla y no lo podemos modificar, pero lo que sí podemos hacer es añadir nuestro propio CSS e incluir!important dónde sea necesario para que nuestras reglas tengan prioridad.

Hay muchas que no hay que modificar y como al final del post incluyo las necesarias, no voy a hacer aquí una relación exhaustiva y sólo voy a destacar la que incorpora elsprite. Es esta y ya incluye la nueva imagen que os mostré antes:

Nótese que he tenido que redimensionar a 24px y que he incorporado (opción) un pequeño margen para que los botones no queden todos pegados.

Cambiar el código del botón+1

Como supongo que lo que todos queremos es guardar una estética uniforme y el +1 siempre desentona un poco con el resto, será necesario modificar en la plantilla el código del gadget que genera este botón en concreto para así hacerlos todos homogéneos.

Para ello editamos el gadget conid='shareButtons' y cambiamos lo que a continuación veis marcado en verde por lo siguiente. Con el cambio dejamos también el código original inutilizado con símbolos de comentarios por si más adelante queremos volver a cómo estaba.

Con eso el botón pasará de ser un +1 a un simple enlace que abre una ventana emergente para compartir en Google+, que es precisamente lo mismo que hacen el resto de botones de las otras redes (más información sobreURL's para compartir en redes sociales).

Un ejemplo completo

Si queréis ver cómo queda esto antes de lanzaros a crear vuestros propios botones o incluso si estos del ejemplo os gustan, podéis hacer el siguiente cambio en vuestra plantilla.

Buscáis la líneab:includable id='shareButtons' var='post' y localizáis su cierre/b:includable , seleccionais todo elincludable con las dos anteriores etiquetas de apertura y cierre inclusive y las sustituis por esto otro. Y si no queréis copiar y pegar tanto, pues simplemente seguir las indicaciones de los comentarios marcados en verde para cambiar el final del gadget y a continuación añadid el estilo.

He puesto el CSS necesario a continuación del gadget para una más fácil sustitución, pero también podéis ponerlo entre las etiquetasskin (sin las etiquetasstyle en ese caso).

Blogger: Cambios en la administración de páginas estáticas – Credito – Dominios – Dominios

Gracias a que ayer me llegaron algunos mensajes explicando algunos problemas relacionados con las páginas estáticas, porque como las mías están sin modificar desde hace siglos, si no llega a ser por ellos ni me entero de que Blogger había cambiado la forma de administrarlas.

Resulta que ahora la sección de páginas a la que se accede desde el Escritorio tiene el mismo interface que la de entradas y aunque eso sea inicialmente molesto -como cualquier cambio- la verdad es que resulta bastante práctico.

Ahora toda esta parte incluye los botones de Nueva, Publicar, Borrador, Borrar... y al pasar el puntero por una página, también los habituales botones-links de las entradas: Editar, Ver, Compartir y Eliminar.

Además de esto y como podéis ver en la captura, ahora sale a la derecha el número de +1 ycomentarios que lleva acumulados cada entrada, así como las visitas recibidas.

Tenía la esperanza de que hubiera cambiado otra cosa más que sería beneficiosa, pero desafortunadamente el límite en el número máximo de páginas que se pueden crear sigue en 20. Es suficiente para hacer los apartados fijos normales de un blog, pero para algunas otras cosas sería bueno ampliar la cantidad.

¿Cuál es el problema? Pues queaparentemente ahora no se puede crear una página que funcione como mero enlace a otra dirección, esas tan socorridas para crear un menú por etiquetas, por ejemplo.

Pero sí que se puede. Lo que ocurre es que el sitio desde dónde hacerlo está en otro lugar.

Ahora hay que editar el gadget dePáginas al que se puede acceder desdeDiseño y ahí, bajo los bloques que representan las páginas lo encontráis.

O sea, que no cunda el pánico.

Usando Awesome para construir un menú de texto con iconos – Plataforma – School

El otro día os presenté el asunto de crear iconos mediante archivos de fuentes modificados, para insertar pictogramas en lugar de los típicos caracteres alfanuméricos. En concreto hablé un poco de qué era ycómo utilizar la fuente Awesome.

Pues como dicen en una comunidad sobre CSS que visito menos de lo que debiera,"Hasta no ver la demo es un dragón", así que para hacer realidad la teoría, hoy un sencillo pero resultón menú que deja ver los respectivos iconos programados cuando se pasa el puntero por encima del texto que servirá de enlace. Alguien me pidió algo parecido hace unas semanas, así que helo aquí.

Como la explicación genérica ya iba en el post que enlacé al principio, ahí va directamente el código.

En primer lugar incluimos nuestra lista de enlaces. Eso puede ser en la plantilla o añadido desde la vistaDiseño en un nuevo gadget tipo HTML/JavaScript (Blogger), situado por ejemplo encima del cuerpo de las entradas. La única diferencia en el código será que en primer caso (plantilla), las comillas dobles (") habrá que cambiarlas por comillas simples (') para que el código se interprete bien.

Lo que corresponde personalizar aquí será la dirección de destino de los enlaces (ENLACE_X), el texto visible de los mismos (Inicio, Galería, etc.) y los iconos que queremos que aparezcan. Para esto último habrá que buscar eneste catálogo el nombre y listo.

Luego, editando la plantilla, cargamos un par de ficheros CSS. Uno para la fuenteAwesome y otro con una fuente "normal" que utilizaremos para el texto del menú. He usado laOswald, pero evidentemente podéis usar cualquiera que os guste más. El catálogo completo de las disponibles enGoogle Fonts, accediendo al anterior enlace.

El mejor sitio para añadir estas dos líneas sería en elhead, pero a mí me ha tragado con este código también en posts e incluso en la parte HTML de la plantilla.
