Menú o galería de imágenes con efecto acordeón (horizontal, RWD y sólo con CSS) – programmers

Con el código de hoy podremos convertir fácilmente una lista simple de elementos (imágenes y/o enlaces), en un menú tipo acordeón.

Este tipo de menús constan de una serie de pestañas que al hacerhover oclic sobre ellas, permiten ver el contenido que inicialmente está oculto. La peculiaridad es que dicho contenido se visualiza sobre el mismo menú al ensancharse en tamaño suficiente la pestaña pulsada.

El que veremos ahora tiene una disposición horizontal, no necesita ninguna librería JavaScript porque está hecho completamente con CSS y además es adaptable a todos los tamaños de ventana (RWD).

¿Y qué es lo fundamental para tener esto? Pues en primer lugar crear la lista en HTML y situar en ella las imágenes. El código para una lista siempre es el mismo, así que la única variación que he incorporado es un encabezado (h4) para el título de las pestañas.

Como veis se trata de una lista sin ninguna historia. La apertura y el cierre general (ul), los elementos de la lista (li) y dentro de cada elemento un encabezado conteniendo texto y una imagen. A las imágenes les he puesto además un enlace para que veáis como sería con ellos, pero podría ir igualmente sin enlaces.

En el código anterior sólo puse dos elementos, pero se pueden añadir los que se quieran (dentro de unos límites razonables por el ancho limitado) simplemente añadiendo nuevosli y su respectivo contenido (h4 eimg).


La segunda parte es -también como siempre- la que le dará el estilo necesario a todo esto, el CSS. Es el que viene a continuación y está ajustado para mostrar 5 elementos. Lo he dejado comentado para que podáis personalizarlo sin problemas, pero si queréis practicar modificaciones, también lo he dejado disponible eneste Codepen.

Con este sistema que propongo, para que las imágenes queden perfectas y se vean completas tendrán que que tener la misma proporción (que no tamaño) entre su alto y su ancho. Esa proporción es la que se indica en elpadding-bottom del selectorul.acordeon li en tanto por ciento. Está explicado en los comentarios del código de manera sintética, pero lo amplío.


Para calcular ese porcentaje necesitamos previamente conocer un valor que he llamadoX y que se corresponde con el ancho que ocupará la pestaña visible. Este dependerá de cuantos elementos vamos a poner en nuestro menú.

En el ejemplo, al haber 5 elementos y cada uno de ellos ocupar un 10% del total (verwidth deul.acordeon li), necesariamente el espacio máximo disponible para la pestaña desplegada sería un 60% (4 elementos plegados*10% + 1 desplegado por el resto, 60% = total 100%).

Eso es lo que intenta explicar la fórmula/* 100 - 10*(nºelem-1) // X=60 para ratio imagen */

Siguiendo con el ejemplo, ya sabemos queX o el ancho máximo del elemento desplegado será igual a 60. Ahora es cuando nos vamos al selectorul.acordeon lique mencioné antes y calculamos el valor depadding-bottom que nos permitirá ajustar automáticamente la altura de este cacharrito.

Pues como se indica, el cálculo sería/* Ratio aspecto imagen = (height*X)/width */ y como las imágenes que yo he usado son de 900x600 píxeles, el resultado sería 600*60/900 = 40%, lo que veis que indiqué en el CSS.

Si añado imágenes de 450x300 o de 300x200, el resultado hubiera sido el mismo (40%) pues tienen también la misma proporción.

Sinceramente, es más complicado explicarlo que seguir las indicaciones.

Gadget desplegable y adaptable de botones para compartir – Teleconferencias – Habitaciones – World

Algún título le tenía que poner a la entrada pero lo que veremos puede servir tanto para montar una botonera social, como para cualquier otra situación en la que necesitemos mostrar varias opciones dispuestas en una única fila.

El resultado será una especie de menú en el que el contenido de cada uno de los elementos se mantendrá oculto hasta hacerhover sobre él. En ese momento el elemento señalado se ensanchará, cambiará de color y dejará mostrar lo que hay en su interior.

Ya que estaba en el tajo y dado que el número deplantillas adaptables (RWD) disponibles va en aumento por aquello de la cada vez más amplia difusión de Internet en dispositivos portátiles, he ajustado el CSS para que la caja principal y sus elementos se adapten a cualquier ancho.

En la demo que he montado usé la fuente de iconosAwesome, pero evidentemente todo esto es modificable, pudiendo poner en la parte inicialmente visible texto, imágenes o cualquier otra cosa con los correspondientes ajustes de estilo.

Y como decía al principio lo mismo ocurre con el contenido; se puede poner el código de unos botones como en este ejemplo, pero también podemos insertar otro tipo de código, enlaces, galerías de imágenes, vídeos... En fin, que lo podemos simplificar o complicar lo que queramos.


Para ponerla tal cual veis aquí, el código necesario lo tenéis disponible eneste Codepen, un enlace que os recomiendo como primer destino tras terminar de leer este post. Allí podréis hacer todo tipo de pruebas y vuestras propias modificaciones.


Para los que gusten ir a lo directo pues ya pueden empezar a tomar notas... pero pocas. Más bien preparados para montar todo en dos pasos: copiar y pegar. Lo que puse al final de la entrada es lo único que habría que insertar en la plantilla.

Gadget personalizado para búsqueda en YouTube – Dominios – Service – Dominios

Este es un cacharrito muy cortito de código (si le quitáis los comentarios mucho más), que permite mostrar en un gadget una serie de resultados de búsqueda sobre YouTube, en función de ciertas palabras programadas de antemano.

Como cosas extra, el usuario podrá introducir sus propias palabras para obtener otros resultados e incluye diversas opciones de configuración para este.

Puede servir para poner vídeos relacionados con la temática de vuestro blog o incluso afinando bien con las palabras clave, para que salgan algunos en concreto que queráis mostrar expresamente.

El código está casi tal cual lo encontré en unademo para la API de YouTube, así que no preguntéis mucho sobre posibles variaciones que va a ser que no sabré. Lo que pillé ya lo he comentando en el propio código. Sería este:

Entradas populares tipo 'flyout' en Blogger. Seis estilos. – Donate

Esto delflyout es el término que usa un plugin Wordpress llamado así (Nrelate Flyout) y que muestra en una ventana emergente que aparece en la parte inferior del blog al hacer scroll (elflyout de marras), entradas supuestamente relacionadas con la que se está leyendo en ese momento.

No conocía ese plugin como tal, pero sí que había visto el efecto en algunos sitios y pienso que para algunos casos puede quedar bien y ser práctico... ambas cosas. Se puede montar fácilmente a mano para enlaces fijos y posiblemente también para posts relacionados (esto lo tendría que ver con más tiempo), pero para lo que se puede adaptar de manera muy sencilla espara el gadget de Entradas Populares de Blogger.

Es sólo cuestión de un poco (muy poco) de JavaScript y mucho de estilo (CSS).

Para verlo, sólo tenéis que bajar en esta entrada y lo veréis aparecer abajo a la derecha. Eso sí, como yo tengo actualmente el gadget baseun poco raro, el formato no será como los que después os presentaré. Cuando terminéis de verlo no olvidéis volver aquí para aprender cómo añadirlo a vuestro sitio.

En primer lugar tenemos que añadir desdeDiseño un gadget del tipoEntradas populares. Le ponermos título, marcamos el periodo de tiempo de dónde extraer los posts más leídos, seleccionamos las dos casillas de verificación que salen para miniatura y resumen de texto y por último, seleccionamos el número de posts a mostrar.

De los estilos que mostraré al final, algunos sólo soportan determinado número, así que si se os ve chungo sólo tenéis que repasar el comentario que añadí a cada estilo.

Añadir jQuery

Empezamos con el código comprobando que tenemos la librería jQuery en la plantilla. Si no es así sólo hay que editarla y añadir esta línea tras la etiqueta de cierre/b:skin. Si tenéis dos, pues tras la segunda.

Manipulando el gadget original

Lo siguiente y de hecho podría ir justo a continuación de la anterior línea, sería añadir el JavaScript que creará el efecto.

Este código lo que hace es manejar el selector que lleva por defecto el gadget.PopularPosts aplicándole lo siguiente (en el mismo orden en que va en el código):

• Añadir dentro del contenedor general una equis (☒) que ejecutará la función de cerrar (eliminar) la caja
• Comprobar si estamos haciendo scroll
• Abrir una condición para ver a qué altura sobre el total de la página nos encontramos. Si es más de la quinta parte, se ejecutará una opción y en caso contrario otra
• En el primer caso la caja se mostrará (.show)
• Y si es inferior (estamos en el primer quinto de la página), se ocultará (.hide)
• La última función lo que hace es eliminar del todo la caja (tranquilos, al refrescar se crea de nuevo) y es la que usa la ☒ que añadimos en primera instancia

Aquí se puede cambiar un poco el tema de cómo aparece la caja, pero eso ya queda para los que gusten de hacer virguerías. Lo más fácil es cambiar el divisor (5) por otro mayor o menor, según se quiera que aparezca antes o después y elslow por un valor numérico o porfast para cambiar la velocidad de la transición.

Añadir el estilo (CSS)

¿Eso es todo? No, pero casi. Para que la caja salga mona monísima ya entramos en el terreno del CSS y de todo lo que veréis, lo único imprescindible es que la caja principal tenga un valordisplay: none; para que inicialmente esté oculta. Lo demás se puede cambiar libremente.

El lugar dónde añadir esto... dónde siempre va el CSS, o bien en la plantilla entre las etiquetasskin, o desde elDiseñador de Plantillas Avanzado Añadir CSS o bien dónde recomiendo a los novatos para que si se aburren de este artilugio tengan fácil quitar todo.

Esto último sería justo a continuación del script anterior y en esa parte de la plantilla se logra que funcione añadiendostyle /style y luego insertando justo en medio el CSS.

Las seis versiones

Para que no haya que envidiarle nada a WP, he replicado de la página de capturas denrelate flyout, los seis estilos que he considerado más vistosos o prácticos y que son estos. Elegid uno, añadidlo a vuestro sitio y a disfrutar el gadget.
