Menú acordeón. Haciéndolo simple con jQuery – coche – coche

jQuery es una biblioteca JavaScript que ya casi se está convirtiendo en un estándar. Nacida en 2006, parece que actualmente es con diferenciala más usada y su principal ventaja es que nos hace más simples la manera de manejar los documentos HTML y la manipulación delDOM, permitiéndonos modificar el contenido de una página sin que sea siquiera necesario recargarla.

Lo que veremos hoy se aprovecha de todo esto para transformar un simple par de listas anidadas en un menú tipo "acordeón", esos en los que se despliegan las sub-opciones al tiempo que se pliegan las que pudieran estar previamente abiertas. Lo podéis ver funcionando al final de esta misma entrada o eneste Codepen.

Todo esto que viene a continuación lo he puesto por separado para poder ir explicándolo un poco, pero se puede copiar y pegar dentro de un gadget, un trozo tras otro -en el mismo orden en que se presentan- y funcionará sin problemas.

HTML

La lista se construye con normalidad con la etiquetaul y sucesivosli. Todo lo meteremos dentro de una caja con una clase que he llamadomenujq para poder manejar el estilo de esta lista de manera independiente a otras listas comunes que pudieran existir en la misma página.

Para las sub-opciones simplemente se anidará otra lista completa dentro de un elementoli, teniendo cuidado de cerrar ese elemento tras el cierre de la lista anidada (/ul).

Los enlaces que servirán para desplegar no pueden llevar a ningún sitio porque no cumplirían su función, así que se rellenan con unjavascript:void(); y listo.

CSS

La parte del estilo, además de servirnos para configurar los tamaños y para conseguir diferenciar con color la lista principal de las anidadas, también la hemos aprovechado para añadir unos simbolitos que diferencien si el elemento es desplegable o no. Detallado queda en los comentarios.

JAVASCRIPT

Y por fin el alma de todo esto, el JavaScript hilvanado con jQuery.

Básicamente lo que hace, en este orden, es:

• Buscar los elementos de lista, hijos directos de la clase menujq cuyo hijo sea una etiqueta de lista ul y añadirle una clase que he llamado desplegable. En otras palabras, localizar y marcar los elementos de lista que contienen una lista anidada dentro de ellos y que serán los únicos que se podrán desplegar.
• Controlar el clic sobre cualquier enlace dentro de las listas
• Guardar el objeto que sigue tras aquel sobre el que se ha hecho clic (comprobar)
• Limpiar todas las clases activa que se hayan podido añadir en anteriores clics...
• ...y añadírsela al elemento li que contiene el enlace sobre el que se hecho clic ahora
• Las dos últimas condiciones sirven para ver si una lista está plegada o desplegada (:visible) para añadirle el efecto de plegado (.slideUp) o desplegado (.slideDown).

Este es un cacharrito muy cortito de código (si le quitáis los comentarios mucho más), que permite mostrar en un gadget una serie de resultados de búsqueda sobre YouTube, en función de ciertas palabras programadas de antemano.

Como cosas extra, el usuario podrá introducir sus propias palabras para obtener otros resultados e incluye diversas opciones de configuración para este.

Puede servir para poner vídeos relacionados con la temática de vuestro blog o incluso afinando bien con las palabras clave, para que salgan algunos en concreto que queráis mostrar expresamente.

El código está casi tal cual lo encontré en unademo para la API de YouTube, así que no preguntéis mucho sobre posibles variaciones que va a ser que no sabré. Lo que pillé ya lo he comentando en el propio código. Sería este:

Slider sencillo, automático, manual y RWD – Virginia – Criminal

Seguimos avanzando y añadiéndole funcionalidades a ese simple y corto JavaSript bajo jQuery que vimos hace un tiempo para construir unslider automático muy sencillo.

Primero vimos cómo incluir manualmente imágenes fijas con o sin enlace y posteriormente, la manera de leer un feed para cargar desde él automáticamente lasimágenes y enlaces de las entradas recientes.

Más adelante la cosa consistió en hacer lo mismo pero de manera que los posts no fueran los últimos, sino unos cuantoscargados de manera aleatoria.Por cierto que esto último parece que en determinados casos concretos no funciona. Depende del feed que se use pero todavía no sé cual es el factor que provoca el fallo.


Pero bueno, hoy lo que toca es ver cómo ajustar el CSS para que el slider sea adaptable (RWD) y por otra parte, cómo tendría que ser el JavaScript para que sobre las imágenes aparezcan unas flechitas que nos permitan avanzar o retroceder adicionalmente de forma manual.

Y ya que estaba modificando el JS, he aprovechado para depurarlo un poco y que pudiéramos eliminar del HTML las cajas (div) innecesarias.

Debido a que ya son muchas las modificaciones hechas sobreel original, en esta ocasión partiremos otra vez de cero y lo que viene a continuación incluye todo el código necesario. Sólo tendréis que copiar y pegar en un gadget (tipo HTML/JavaScript) y luego ya ajustáis el CSS con los colores que creáis conveniente.

Sólo tenéis que cambiarURL_ENLACEx,URL_IMAGENx yTEXTOx enla parte HTML por vuestros propios datos y listo. Si se quieren ponerdiapositivas adiciones sólo hay que añadir nuevos enlaces con la misma estructura: a + img+ p


Y para los curiosos, en la parte del script podréis comprobar que lo único que hicimos con respecto alanterior código fue separar la parte que ejecuta la función repetidamente según el intervalo de tiempo definido (6000 milisegundos) y la parte que va cambiando de orden los enlaces en el HTML. Esta última la ponemos ahora como función (changeDiv) para poder reutilizarla después.

Además se han añadido dos eventosonclick para cuando se pulsan los enlaces con las clasesmas ymenos, de manera que con ellos se cambiande ordentambién los enlaces y se resetea el tiempo del intervalo para que no se solape la función automática con la manual. Por último, el clic en elmenos realiza un reordenamiento inverso para poder ir a la diapositiva anterior en lugar de a la siguiente usandoprependTo.


Recuerdar en este punto que para que funcione necesitáis jQuery en vuestra plantilla. Con esa librería todo lo anterior generaría un cacharrito como este. Probad las flechas para comprobar cómo se puede retroceder y avanzar manualmente y redimensionar la ventana para ver cómo el slider se adapta al ancho disponible.

Actualización

Una idea que nos plantean en los comentarios y que puede ser resultona. Se trata de que las flechas sólo aparezcan cuando se pasa el puntero por encima del slider. Lo podéis ver funcionando en elCodepen que hice.

Para ello hay que modificar sólo parte del CSS.

En primer lugar añadimos unoverflow:hidden; al selector#slide-wrapper y luego los de los enlaces tendrían que quedar así:

Entradas populares tipo 'flyout' en Blogger. Seis estilos. – Donate

Esto delflyout es el término que usa un plugin Wordpress llamado así (Nrelate Flyout) y que muestra en una ventana emergente que aparece en la parte inferior del blog al hacer scroll (elflyout de marras), entradas supuestamente relacionadas con la que se está leyendo en ese momento.

No conocía ese plugin como tal, pero sí que había visto el efecto en algunos sitios y pienso que para algunos casos puede quedar bien y ser práctico... ambas cosas. Se puede montar fácilmente a mano para enlaces fijos y posiblemente también para posts relacionados (esto lo tendría que ver con más tiempo), pero para lo que se puede adaptar de manera muy sencilla espara el gadget de Entradas Populares de Blogger.

Es sólo cuestión de un poco (muy poco) de JavaScript y mucho de estilo (CSS).

Para verlo, sólo tenéis que bajar en esta entrada y lo veréis aparecer abajo a la derecha. Eso sí, como yo tengo actualmente el gadget baseun poco raro, el formato no será como los que después os presentaré. Cuando terminéis de verlo no olvidéis volver aquí para aprender cómo añadirlo a vuestro sitio.

Paso previo

En primer lugar tenemos que añadir desdeDiseño un gadget del tipoEntradas populares. Le ponermos título, marcamos el periodo de tiempo de dónde extraer los posts más leídos, seleccionamos las dos casillas de verificación que salen para miniatura y resumen de texto y por último, seleccionamos el número de posts a mostrar.

De los estilos que mostraré al final, algunos sólo soportan determinado número, así que si se os ve chungo sólo tenéis que repasar el comentario que añadí a cada estilo.

Añadir jQuery

Empezamos con el código comprobando que tenemos la librería jQuery en la plantilla. Si no es así sólo hay que editarla y añadir esta línea tras la etiqueta de cierre/b:skin. Si tenéis dos, pues tras la segunda.

Manipulando el gadget original

Lo siguiente y de hecho podría ir justo a continuación de la anterior línea, sería añadir el JavaScript que creará el efecto.

Este código lo que hace es manejar el selector que lleva por defecto el gadget.PopularPosts aplicándole lo siguiente (en el mismo orden en que va en el código):

• Añadir dentro del contenedor general una equis (☒) que ejecutará la función de cerrar (eliminar) la caja
• Comprobar si estamos haciendo scroll
• Abrir una condición para ver a qué altura sobre el total de la página nos encontramos. Si es más de la quinta parte, se ejecutará una opción y en caso contrario otra
• En el primer caso la caja se mostrará (.show)
• Y si es inferior (estamos en el primer quinto de la página), se ocultará (.hide)
• La última función lo que hace es eliminar del todo la caja (tranquilos, al refrescar se crea de nuevo) y es la que usa la ☒ que añadimos en primera instancia

Aquí se puede cambiar un poco el tema de cómo aparece la caja, pero eso ya queda para los que gusten de hacer virguerías. Lo más fácil es cambiar el divisor (5) por otro mayor o menor, según se quiera que aparezca antes o después y elslow por un valor numérico o porfast para cambiar la velocidad de la transición.

Añadir el estilo (CSS)

¿Eso es todo? No, pero casi. Para que la caja salga mona monísima ya entramos en el terreno del CSS y de todo lo que veréis, lo único imprescindible es que la caja principal tenga un valordisplay: none; para que inicialmente esté oculta. Lo demás se puede cambiar libremente.

El lugar dónde añadir esto... dónde siempre va el CSS, o bien en la plantilla entre las etiquetasskin, o desde elDiseñador de Plantillas Avanzado Añadir CSS o bien dónde recomiendo a los novatos para que si se aburren de este artilugio tengan fácil quitar todo.

Esto último sería justo a continuación del script anterior y en esa parte de la plantilla se logra que funcione añadiendostyle /style y luego insertando justo en medio el CSS.

Las seis versiones

Para que no haya que envidiarle nada a WP, he replicado de la página de capturas denrelate flyout, los seis estilos que he considerado más vistosos o prácticos y que son estos. Elegid uno, añadidlo a vuestro sitio y a disfrutar el gadget.
