Plantilla Black Magic – cancer – programmers – Money

Como tanta claridad por toda la web a veces me cansa, yo sigo yendo contracorriente montando plantillas oscuras. Esta algo más... en el sentido más amplio del término.

También haciendo contra-propaganda, advierto que el que busque algo especial en esta plantilla no va a encontrar en ella nada más que estética metalera, mitológica,magia negra... o lo que sea que os sugiera.

Y apenas como prestación un poco complicada, un slider para entradas recientes en la parte superior. Este construidoconEasy Slider, un conocido plugin para jQuery bastante versátil.

Está preparada para usar con el nuevo diseñador de plantillas -ya no tan nuevo, por cierto- por lo que desde él se puede cambiar lo típico: colores, fondos, tipografías, maquetación de columnas, etc.

Lo único a tener en cuenta es que todo el código necesario para que el slider funcione está contenido en la plantilla y que el gadget que lleva ese mismo título pero que no tiene contenido, es necesario para que este sea visible. Se puede cambiar de sitio pero si se borra desaparecerá parte del código necesario.

CssWarp: Generador de texto curvo ¡Qué onda! – Culture

Por estos lares no se lleva mucho esa expresión de¡Qué onda!, pero no se me ocurría nada mejor para describir lo que hace este generador llamadoCSSWarp. Son los efectos de una Navidad repleta de excesos, así que me tendréis que perdonar por la falta de imaginación.

La utilidad es muy intuitiva, así que no merece la pena hacer un tutorial muy extenso para explicarla... y esta pereza también tiene la misma justificación que lo de la falta de imaginación temporal y espero pasajera.

El que se decida a usarla podrá comprobar que una vez que tenemos el diseño al gusto, el servicio nos proporciona todo el CSS y el HTML necesario para reproducir esa misma terminación en una página web.

Viene incluso con toda la estructura necesaria para montar la página completa, pero normalmente sólo nos interesará el estilo que podremos usar como viene -entre etiquetasstyle-o si lo vamos a usar con frecuencia, añadiéndolo a nuestra hoja de estilo. Evidentemente también necesitaremos la caja que monta todo y que es la que lleva laid denominada#warped.

Con esas dos cosas ya podremos hacer algo como esto:

Un texto con mucha ONDA

Si intentáis seleccionar ese texto comprobaréis que es tal y no una imagen. Usuarios de IE con versiones anteriores a la 9, absténganse por favor.


El sistema con el que se ha construido es simple pero muy farragoso y lo que hace es asignar una clase distinta para cada carácter (w1, w2, w3, etc.) mediante etiquetasspan, para así poder cotrolar el estilo de cada uno individualmente. Luego con CSS se dan propiedades a todas esas clases que básicamente incluyen posicionamiento absoluto y giros mediantetransform: rotate.

Recordar que podíamos hacer lo mismo con el plugin para jQuery llamadoLettering, pero este generador tiene la ventaja de que también nos monta el CSS.

Ni que decir tiene que podemos añadir propiedades adicionales a laid denominada#warped para cambiar un poco el estilo del texto y de la propia caja que lo contiene, pero bueno, lo digo.


El código que se nos facilita incluye prefijos para compatibilidad con los distintos navegadores, lo que unido al sistema utilizado provoca que se convierta en un churro interminable de código. Por eso es de agradecer que haya quién se moleste en crear generadores de este tipo para poder lanzar mensajes de manera algodistinta.

Últimos tweets: con y sin jQuery – Hipotecario

Desde Junio de 2013 Twitter ha dejado de dar soporte a la versión 1 de su API que es la que usa este gadget, así que ya no funciona. Si sigues necesitando publicar tus últimos tweets de manera personalizada, aquí tienesotro sistema.

Hace ya unas semanas que vimos un método para publicar el último tweet de determinada cuenta, pero me pareció un código algo farragoso y demasiado largo para lo que se pretendía así que me puse a buscar otras maneras y encontré estas dos.

La primera es la más breve pero sólo muestra un único tuit y los links que pueda incluir el mensaje no estarán operativos. Además necesita jQuery.

La segunda es un pelín más larga de código pero con ella podremos resolver los problemas anteriores si lo fueran para alguien.

Último tweet con jQuery

El que este sistema requiera jQuery realmente es secundario porque ya muchos lo usais, pero hay que tener en cuenta que si no es así habrá que añadir previamente esa librería a la plantilla para poder usar esto. Esto normalmente irá antes de/head:

Luego simplemente hay que añadir este código en el lugar dónde se quiera mostrar el tweet. En un gadget HTML/JavaScript, por ejemplo:

El último graznido de @oloman fue:

Lo único que habría que cambiar esUSUARIO, poniendo ahí el usuario de Twitter. Ese 1 en&include_rts=1 indica que se incluirán los RT hechos por el usuario, así que si no queréis que se vean sólo hay que pasar el valor a 0.

Uno o varios tweets sin jQuery

Si no queremos usar la conocida librería JavaScript y necesitamos algunas funcionalidades más, este otro sistema seguro que cumplirá vuestras expectativas.

También leemos los datos desde JSON, pero en este caso apoyándonos en otra librería que facilita Twitter (blogger.js). Los resultados serán mostrados en una lista que en este caso tendrán laid="twitter_update_list".

Como habréis podido observar, si el tweet tiene algún enlace este aparece activado. Adicionalmente se muestra la fecha al final de cada uno.

También habréis visto que hay en el código unos cuantos parámetros que nos permiten configurar la salida. Aparte del anteriormente mencionadoinclude_rts están estos:

exclude_replies: false o true para indicar respectivamente si se incluirán en la lista las respuestas con mención o no.
count: con un valor para especificar el número de tweets a mostrar


Como ya se ha nombrado el selector que controla la lista, supongo que no os será difícil darle estilo una vez generada. Por si acaso, la estructura de salida será esta:

Si queréis mostrar los graznidos deuna lista en lugar de los de un usuario concreto, la dirección y parámetros delsrc cambian un poco.

Sin embargo para sus protagonistasesa cosa extraña es realmente un rincón especial dónde nos da por hacer cosas tan comunes para otros como especiales para nosotros: comentar sobre nuestras aficiones, desarrollar nuestros pareceres, nuestros pensamientos, expresar quejas o denunciar injusticias, mostrar nuestra obra, nuestros sentimientos y, muchísimas veces, sólo escribir, escribir por el puro placer de hacerlo. Pero escribir para uno mismo con la peculiaridad de que sabemos que lo hacemos también para los demás.

Porque esto que parece sólo un rincón es tambiénuna pequeña gran ventana al resto del mundo, un lugar contradictorio dónde lo más íntimo se hace totalmente público, dónde la gente te puede llegar a conocer profundamente sin, la mayoría de veces, haberte podido mirar a los ojos siquiera una vez. Sobre esos dicen que son el espejo del alma, pero pienso que una bitácora también puede llegar a serlo.

Y comoventana abierta de par en par, nos da la oportunidad de relacionarnos con un buen puñado de personas más de lo que es habitual en lo que algunos llaman vida real, o sea, la de siempre, la que dicen que es la común y corriente.

Por eso y por algún que otro motivo más, no puedo dejar pasar estas fechas en las que hasta a los más duros se nos ablanda el corazón, sin aprovechar para desearos una vida virtual y real lo más feliz que las circunstancias os permitan.

Laspequeñas cosas que nos acercan a ello las tenemos casi siempre a mano pero normalmente nos cuesta reconocerlas. Son esas tan comunes como conversar con un amigo, recibir o dar un beso, respirar, sonreír, que te sonrian, observar silenciosamente la cara de un niño durmiendo, pasear, leer, coger la mano de una persona querida...

Así quedisfrutad todo lo que podáis ahora que casi todos están predispuestos a colaborar y nos lo ponen más fácil que nunca. Sobre todo con la familia, los amigos y con todas aquellas otras personas que tenéis cerca.

Y si no tenéis la fortuna de tener nadie a mano, no os preocupéis. Siempre nos quedarán las redes sociales, que para algo bueno tienen que servir. Sólo es cuestión de encontrar la manera.
