Slider sencillo con entradas recientes – Money

No hace mucho vimos como montar unslider muy simple para mostrar una serie de imágenes fijas (con o sin enlace) que iban pasando de manera secuencial. La cosa es que esto no cubre las necesidades de algunos que quieren que esas imágenes sean extraídas de las entradas del propio blog y que al mismo tiempo sirvan de enlace para acceder directamente a las mostradas.

Eso es lo que se viene llamandoslider de entradas recientes y precisamente lo que vamos a ver a continuación para tener una variante más completa de aquel visor de imágenes que vimos.

Evidentemente el código ya no será tan simple pero tampoco es que sea muy largo, así que en lugar de cargar un fichero externo, propongo que se meta en la plantilla y que luego ya carguemos el feed desde un gadget.

Enesta página de pruebas podéis ver una demostración de cómo funciona con el código que veremos a continuación.

Lo primero de todo sería colocar antes del/head de nuestra plantilla, lo mismo que la otra vez: la librería jQuery, los estilos de la caja que forma el slider (estos también se pueden poner en la parte CSS) y el código que generaba laanimación.

Como decía, esto es exactamente lo mismo que vimos enPosiblemente el slider jquery más sencillo y la diferencia radica sólo en cómo vamos a construir la lista de imágenes/enlaces. En aquel la hacíamos manualmente y ya habíamos terminado, pero en esta ocasión crearemos una función que leerá un feed y de ahí extraerá título, URL e imagen de los últimos posts, creando automáticamente esa lista.

En esa parte de arriba, lo único que habría que tener en cuenta es no duplicar la carga de jQuery que es lo que hace la primera línea. Si ya lo tenemos en nuestro plantilla esa línea hay que omitirla.

Y esta es la función que recopila los datos y crea la lista. Hay que ponerla a continuación de lo anterior:

Y ahora viene el último paso que es situar en el lugar dónde queremos que salga el slider, una caja vacía con la id#slider y la llamada a la función que generará la lista de imágenes/título/enlace.

Tal cual viene se puede incluir en un gadget tipo HTML/JavaScript para ponerlo bajo la cabecera o encima del cuerpo de las entradas.

En ese trozo es dónde personalizaremos el número de entradas a mostrar y el feed desde dónde queremos cargar las imágenes. En este mismo orden son las dos cosas marcadas en verde. Se puede poner cualquier dirección de feed y no sólo el propio.

Si por casualidad alguien quiere ver más de 10 entradas, el valor trasmax-results deberá ser aumentado.

Embeber posts de Facebook manualmente (fácil de narices) – programmers

Hace pocos díasFacebook anunció una nueva utilidad que permitirá incrustar posts en cualquier web, al modo en que Twitter lo hace desde hace ya casi dos años. Para ello bastará con seleccionar la opción correspondiente en el desplegable habitual dentro del post, copiar el código que nos facilitan y pegar dónde gustéis.

Podéis buscar a ver si la tenéis ya, aunque de momento parece poco probable porque la noticia avisa de que estará disponible en unas semanas y de momento sólo unos pocos (¿afortunados?) disponen de esa opción.

Pero aquí estamos para explicaros a los impacientes un método para empezar a usar esto desde ya. Y es realmente simple...

Si tenéis algún otro plugin de Facebook que se cargue para todas las páginas (cómo por ejemplo el del "Me gusta") y habéis insertado el codigo en su versión HTML5 o XFBML, sólo será necesario incluir en la entrada dónde queráis publicar el post de FB, el siguiente código. Eso sí, personalizando la URL del post (en verde).

Dije que era fácil ¿no? Aquí un ejemplo.

¿Pero qué pasa si no nos funciona? Pues entonces es que no teníamos el código que dije antes y no hemos cargado el kit de desarrollo de software (SDK) JavaScript de Facebook.

En ese caso sólo tendréis que ir adicionalmente a vuestra plantilla, buscar la etiqueta/body y justo antes pegar esto:

No os tenéis que preocupar excesivamente por si ya tenéis el anterior código o no, pues funcionará igual. El único problema es que duplicaréis código innecesariamente, así que si queréis aseguraros, con buscar la dirección del .js (connect.facebook.net) será suficiente para comprobar si está en vuestra plantilla o no.

Para encontrar la dirección permanente de cualquier post, esta está dónde la fecha. Sólo tenéis que copiar la dirección del enlace.

Crear una pestaña lateral con contenido inicialmente oculto – World

Seguimos con las cosas facilitas, que el calor del verano derrite las neuronas y hay que conservarlas en el mejor estado posible.

En esta ocasión veremos cómo añadir un contenido en una pestaña lateral, fuera del contenido principal del blog, de manera que al pasar el puntero por encima de dicha pestaña ese contenido aparezca. Además, como usaremosposition: fixed para situarlo dónde queremos, el contenido permanecerá fijo aunque hagamos scroll en la página.

La idea la vi hace unos días enTutorial blog for stylish Blogger, aunque le he introducido unas pequeñas variaciones para que se pueda meter un contenido distinto a una lista, que es como viene en el ejemplo de BebenKoben y sobre todo para darle un aspecto distinto a la pestaña.

Mis contenedores están ahí, a la derecha. Son esas pestañas de color ocre. Pasad el puntero por encima y veréis un bloque que aparece con una lista de enlaces a modo de menú y otro con un vídeo dentro.

No requiere de JavaScript porque todo se hace con CSS. El HTML sería este, simplemente una caja con una clase creada para este fin que hará de contenedor general y dentro de ella, una segunda que hará de pestaña y el propio contenido. Este último lo marcaremos de manera genérica con una etiqueta de párrafo.

Lo más cómodo es ponerlo en un gadget, pues al estar posicionado confixed, el sitio dónde se coloque el HTML es indiferente.

Como es habitual en estas ocasiones, la magia la hace la parte CSS que es esta otra. También como siempre, hay que incluirlo en la hoja de estilo (entre las etiquetasskin en la plantilla Blogger), aunque también podría ir antes o después del anterior HTML si se mete entre etiquetasstyle.

Blogger, Mundo Google, Trucos

Contador de comentarios Blogger y Google+ por separado y totalizado – Negocios

En una entrada anterior vimos una forma demostrar los comentarios de Google+ sin renunciar a los clásicos de Blogger. Poco antes también mostramos un par de pequeños hallazgos en el nuevo código, entre los cuales se encontraba uno que nos permitía mostrar elnúmero total de interacciones en Google+ (mayor que el número de comentarios propiamente dicho).

Sin embargo no se me ocurrió hilarlo todo y para los que usan ambos sistemas a la vez, explicar cómo ver el número de comentarios de uno y otro sistema por separado. Pero enBlogger Code sí que lo han hecho y la autora ha montado un pequeño sistema que integra todo en cuanto a contadores se refiere: cantidad de comentarios clásicos, número de comentarios Google+ y el total de ambos.

Lo podéisver funcionando en esta demo que tiene ambos sistemas operando simultáneamente.

Comentarios Blogger, comentarios Google+ y total

La base de todo son estas variables que recogen los datos que necesitamos:

Comentarios Blogger: data:post.numComments
Comentarios Google+: class='g-commentcount' asociada a la dirección del post (data:post.url)

Este último se usa en primera instancia partiendo de cero (data-preexisting_count='0') por lo cual sólo muestra los comentarios de Google+ y en segunda contando a partir de los comentarios clásicos existentes, consiguiendo de esta manera el total que también buscamos.

El código para mostrar todo queda como sigue y se puede insertar en la plantilla en el lugar que cada uno desee, pero siempre en la zona de entradas. Por ejemplo se podría poner dentro de la caja que forma la cabecera de un post (div class='post-header-line-1') o en cualquiera de las líneas del pie de las entradas (div class='post-footer-line post-footer-line-1').

Caja emergente al hacer scroll – Money – Free

Este es otro código sencillo de acoplar al blog, ya que se puede añadir como gadget (tipo HTML en Blogger) y sólo es necesario copiar lo que después veremos dentro de él.

Lo peculiar es que aparece cuando se hace scroll en la página, a partir de determinada altura programada por nosotros. Y si se cierra manualmente pinchando el correspondiente símbolo (x) ya no volverá a aparecer hasta que no se refresque o se cargue otra página... para no molestar mucho.

Dentro he puesto para la oportuna demostración, los botones de Google+, Facebook y Twitter, pero de la misma manera y sólo cambiando esa parte, se puede utilizar para cualquier otra cosa, como podría ser un simple mensaje de aviso.

Se puede adornar como se quiera, pues para eso está el CSS, pero para probar, aquí está mi propuesta y si hacéis scroll veréis cómo queda.

En verde está marcada la dirección de mi página Facebook. Tendréis que cambiarla por la vuestra o sustituir todo el código por unMe gusta de los que apuntan a la página que se está viendo y no a la de Facebook.

Para que funcione hace falta tener instalada la librería jQuery. Si no la tenéis simplemente añadir antes de/head la siguiente línea:
