Un blog, un blogger y el día del blog – Credit – Service

Desde hace ya más de una década, las bitácoras, blogs, weblogs, diarios o como quiera que desees llamarles, son una parte muy importante de La Red. Esto sin lugar a dudas. Sobre lo que ya hay más problemas, es a la hora de acreditar quién fue el primer bloguero o el primer blog de la historia.

Como en otros avances, descubrimientos, inventos, récords, etc. a veces es complicadoverificar quién fue el primero en algo, sobre todo cuando ese algo no tiene una definición exacta y absolutamente concreta, porque ¿qué es exactamente un blog?

Wikipedia lo define así:

Es un sitio web periódicamente actualizado que recopila cronológicamente textos o artículos de uno o varios autores, apareciendo primero el más reciente, donde el autor conserva siempre la libertad de dejar publicado lo que crea pertinente.

Maestro Web, usa más o menos esta misma definición, pero le añade una característica muy a tener en cuenta:

Entradas individuales que contienen comentarios, noticias, videos, vínculos, conocimientos o pensamientos del editor del blog, los cuales pueden ser ampliados o comentados por los lectores del blog, en la sección de comentarios.

Así las cosas, unos apuestan por Dave Winer, argumentando que el 1 de Abril de 1997 se estrenó con suScriptingNews. Pero a mi parecer no tenía sistema de comentarios ¿o sí?. En caso contrario podría ser considerado sólo un noticiero ¿o no? Y ni siquiera la fecha parece exacta, aunque en este caso por defecto (28-11-1996) Práctico esteWayback Machine :D

Otros sin embargo, se autoproclaman inventores del término, como Jorn Barger deRobotWisdom que en sus propias palabras, fue quién realmente utilizó el términoweblog en primer lugar (Diciembre 1997,fichado en Wayback Machinedesde 1999). Su argumento es simple: si yo defino algo y me ajusto a esa definición, tengo que ser el primero en cumplirla. O sea, el primer weblog.

¿Echais de menos algunas características de un blog? Pues en las 17 definiciones recopiladas porBlog en Serio podeis encontrar seguramente muchas más. Entre otras...

• Es muy habitual que dispongan de una lista de enlaces a otros weblogs (denominada blogroll). WeblogsSL
• Un espacio personal de escritura en Internet en el que su autor publica artículos o noticias (post) que pueden contener texto, imágenes e hipervínculos. Aulablog.com
• No requieren la intervención de profesionales o informáticos. Euroresidentes
• Pero también a veces algunos blogs están escritos por varias personas, otros son proyectos editoriales comerciales, o a lo mejor se actualizan poco o apenas enlazan a otros sitios. Microsiervos
• Desde su difusión y práctica masiva se han convertido en uno de los elementos constituyentes de la llamada Web 2.0. caracterizada por las aportaciones de sus usuarios. José Antonio Millán
• La blogósfera ( blogosphere) es la parte de Internet en la que los sites son blogs. Mujeres de Empresa
• Los Blogs pueden utilizarse para muchas cosas, como una herramienta informativa, de denuncia, o simplemente para expresar algo que se quiere contar a los demás. NireBlog
• Sí, tienen esa característica que les permite a los autores de weblogs publicar contenido (textos, imágenes y otros archivos) con apretar un solo botón. Minid.net
• Incluso puedes compartir imágenes, fotografías, videos o música para que tus amigos y familiares que no se encuentran cerca puedan saber de ti y de las cosas que haces a diario. Comunidad Cadena Ser
• La buena noticia es que herramientas como Blogger, Movable Type o Greymatter ayudan a los internautas a crearlos de modo rápido y sencillo. Terra

Y la que más me gusta:

Para mí, mi blog es como el Salón de mi casa. Invitas a personas, conversas con ellos y ellos contigo, les enseñas tus álbumes de fotos y veis alguna película juntos. Pero a quién le importa qué es un blog y quién fue el primer bloguero. Lo importante es que hoy disponemos de esta herramienta para expresarnos, leer y ser leídos, compartir y conocer nueva e interesantísima gente.

Club Bloggers – Forex

Vía@pizcos me enteré hace unos días del invento de@naranjaolimon que lleva de nombreClub Bloggers, un sitio dónde NO se pretende hacer una recopilación desitios al modo en que lo hacen muchos otros. A diferencia de estos, Club Bloggers es un sitio dónde reunirblogueros, gente con afán de crear, de sumar y de compartir.

UnClub de Autores en la modalidad de blog en el que podremos enriquecernos con las experiencias, intereses, creatividad, belleza y conocimientos de todas aquellas personas que formen parte de él.

Un punto de reunión en el que todos aportaremos y del que todos nos beneficiaremos. Un Club en el que los protagonistas somos nosotros, los bloggers.

Para garantizar que no se convierta en una granja de simples enlaces, losestatutos del Club son un poco exigentes, pero al alcance de cualquiera que lleve un tiempo en esto. De esta manera, se admitirá sólo al autor:

• Que lleve un año mínimo publicando
• Que no copia y pega, sino que aporta
• Que no obliga a nadie a linkear
• Que no obliga a nadie a hacerles RT
• Que no practica intercambio de links
• Que comparte en las redes sociales
• Que cuida su lenguaje
• Que se relaciona en otros blogs

La razón de estos requisitos las puedo entender por haber sufrido elsíndrome del novato en mis propias carnes. En demasiadas ocasiones, tras haber invertido bastante tiempo en ayudar a un nuevo blog/blogger con su plantilla, este no ha llegado ni a publicar la primera entrada y simplemente ha desistido o incluso borrado el blog. Esto no es una crítica, sino una realidad palpable. Blogs hay millones, pero no son demasiados los que aguantan un primer año de publicaciones más o menos regulares.

Recordar tu primer tweett – Arquitectura – Rooms – Texas

El otro día leí en Gem@ Blog sobre una utilidad online para saberquién fue nuestro primer seguidor. Evidentemente también sirve para conocer el primer seguidor de cualquiera, ya que sólo hay que poner el nick de usuario para que te dé de vuelta el dato requerido.

Me hizo gracia el tema y recordé un viejo truco que no sé dónde leí, pero que como fuente más antigua, he podido encontrar en laBitácora de Calú. Se trata de ver cuál fue tu primer tweett.

Supongo que a más de uno le pasará como a mí, que tengo la memoria de un pez y si no me acuerdo de lo que hice ayer, cómo para acordarme que puse en el trasto este cuando empecé.

Pero en fin, el truquillo es aprovechar la forma de paginar las actualizaciones que tiene Twitter, para no tener que ir dándole alMORE una y otra vez, desgastando el botón del ratón. Cada página contiene 20 actualizaciones (tweetts) y por otra parte, las páginas tienen la forma:

http://twitter.com/USUARIO?page=NUM_PAGINA.

Sabiendo esto, echamos cuentas con nuestros tweets totales. Por ejemplo: 13227 tweetts entre 20, nos da un cociente de 661,35. Por redondeo al alza, tenemos que la página más antigua será la 662.

Con estas cuentas, tendríamos que teclear la dirección

para ver el tweet número 1 de este twittero (USUARIO) que lleva tantísimos graznidos publicados.

Pero ojo, que esto es sólo teoría y Twitter tiene sus límites. Si teneis muchosparloteos, es posible que no podais ver los muy antiguos. Haciendo pruebas no he podido ver más allá de 160 páginas (3200 tweets) y por ejemplo, me he quedado con las ganas de ver cual fue aquel primer twett de@TwittBoy y darle la sorpresa tras publicar más de 21.000 ;)

Hace sólo un par de días, Google anunció a través de sublog que ya no seguirá desarrollandoGoogle Wave, ese invento que el28 de Mayo de 2009 vió la luz por primera vez y que, sobre el papel, realmente prometía.

Exactamente, según explican allí...

Pero a pesar de estas victorias y de numerosos fieles seguidores, Wave no ha tenido la acogida que nos hubiera gustado.No tenemos planes para continuar desarrollando Wave como producto independiente, pero vamos a mantener el sitio al menos hasta finales de año y utilizaremos esta tecnología para otros proyectos de Google.

Esto quiere decir lo que quiere decir y es que el producto no se ha entendido en toda su extensión o que simplemente no ha resultado sufientemente atractivo para los usuarios.

Personalmente, cuando comencé a usarlo no encontré nada que me aportará una especial utilidad, que me hiciera más sencillas mis tareas o algo que no tuviera ya en otros sitios de uso más común en esa fecha, así que se quedó en mis marcadores en espera de tener un rato libre para experimentar más, que nunca llegó. Supongo que tal y como le ocurrió a muchos... a demasiados para el todopoderoso Google.

Mientras queTwitter,Facebook,Tuenti y otros, van ofreciéndonos paulatínamente mejoras anexas, al tiempo que los servicios de terceros a su estela se multiplican, Wave se estancó casi desde el mismo momento en que nació y hoy día, la sentencia de La Red es inapelable.
